Research Focus

Virtual Reality (VR)

Designing immersive environments for learning, therapy, and intergenerational engagement.

Machine Learning (ML)

Modeling adaptive and intelligent behaviors that respond to human needs and preferences.

Large Language Models (LLMs)

Studying how conversational AI can support personalized education and accessible computing.

Smart Homes

Exploring intelligent environments that promote independence and well-being for older adults.

Education Technology

Developing interactive tools and data-driven learning systems for 21st-century classrooms.

Human–AI Interaction

Understanding how people perceive, trust, and collaborate with intelligent machines.

Current Projects

AI Tutors in Education

Exploring the use of LLMs to support personalized learning and formative feedback.

VR for Cognitive Engagement

Studying how immersive VR environments support memory, focus, and learning among older adults.

Smart Home Learning Agents

Developing AI models that adapt to daily routines to improve comfort and well-being.

Designing for Reflective Learning

A voice-based assistant powered by LLMs, deployed on a Raspberry Pi, designed to promote reflective learning and reduce student dependency. This project explores ethical integration of AI in education by encouraging deeper, more intentional engagement through voice interactions.

Explainability in mHealth for Posture Correction

Smarttens Coach is a mobile app using EfficientNet CNN to detect forward head posture and promote healthy smartphone use. Leveraging LIME, the app provides visual explanations to enhance user trust and transparency in AI-driven health recommendations.

Trustworthy Energy Management with Blockchain

This project enhances energy distribution trust using a blockchain-based smart grid integrated with K-Means clustering. It ensures tamper-proof energy usage records and fair billing through transparent data storage and four-pattern usage profiling.
